With Marcel Thibodeau’s business now restricted to the limited area of an island city like Ralston, he would not be able to continue a logging operation for long. So he eventually came to the idea of building a dam on the newly formed Thibodeau Canal. This would win the favor of Ralston by providing them with a source of power for their city, and by catching the fish that found their way there from the ocean, it would provide a new source of income for Marcel. Thus, the Ralston Dam was created.
